Story: Chief was abandoned at a boarding facility in 2011. He is a ~15.1H ranch-like gelding in his late teens/20ish. His foster reports Chief picks up his gait when asked and knows his leads. He is is a good candidate for light trail riding, family lead-line for children, or just a fun light ride for a casual rider. This handsome guy is easy to handle, friendly, and on vaccine, worming, hoof and dental care schedule. He bathes, ties, trailers well and loves attention.
Trainer Notes: Chief knows and picks up his gaits when asked, and he knows his leads. He’s a good candidate for light trail riding, family leadline for children, or just a fun light riding horse for a casual rider. He does well on ground work – he works well in the round pen and can do roll backs and stops. He has a ton of energy. He does have a little arthritis, but after moving around a little he loosens up and moves very well. Chief is also good with receiving vaccines, worming medication, having his hooves done, and having his teeth worked on. He bathes, ties, loads into the trailer, etc. This beautiful guy is incredibly friendly, and he can’t wait to find a loving forever family!
Health: Chief appears to have mild arthritis/ringbone, but seems serviceably sound and willingly moves out with energy.
Issues: None identified.
Adoption Fee:$TBD. On current vaccine, worming, hoof and dental care schedule. For more pics, click here.
