| Story: Takela arrived with her ~2 month old colt (Carson) from a Nevada feedlot on June 21, 2009. Takela and her colt were very underweight and in poor health upon arrival. Takela’s hooves were extremely long with vertical splitting. One front toe had chipped and folded under her hoof.
Trainer Notes: Then – Takela was untrusting of humans and difficult to approach, touch, or handle when she arrived. Today – this stunningly beautiful mare is living in a foster boarding facility and is being ridden regularly! She has come such a long way. Takela was started under saddle in September 2011 and has had both arena and trail training. She is ready for a forever home that will take her training to the next level. With her golden good looks, she is sure to get noticed in whichever direction she is taken, whether it be in shows, in parades or on the trail! Issues: None, other than requiring a gentle and confident handler willing to continue her training. Adoption Fee: $650. On regular vaccines, worming, hoof and dental care schedule.
