All About Equine Animal Rescue, Inc. (AAE) is a 100 percent volunteer-based, charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit equine rescue and rehabilitation organization located in El Dorado Hills, California. AAE’s mission is to rescue and rehabilitate horses that fall victim to inhumane circumstances, most notably, horses that are abused, neglected, or slaughter-bound and find them forever homes. Too many healthy, workable horses are being commercially slaughtered each year, and many more inhumanely die each year from neglect, abandonment, abuse, or improper care. Most of our horses are rescued from a foreign slaughterhouse-owned feedlot before they are transported to Canada or Mexico for slaughter.

Interested in adopting, fostering, or sponsorship, call Wendy at (916) 606-3330 or email adopt@allaboutequine.org.

Donations: Every little bit helps! Because we are a 100% volunteer organization, all of your donations go straight to helping the horses. Our tax ID number is 27-0384523.

Zia was born in April 2010. Her mom, Zuni, arrived at AAE in June 2009 from a Nevada feedlot. Unbeknown to us, Zuni, already nursing a young filly, was pregnant! In March of 2010, Zuni became the subject of A Ranch Of Light’s “Horse Birth and Beyond” project, and Zia was born shortly thereafter. Part appaloosa, she has grown into an adorable little pony filly with a huge personality. At one and a half years old, she knows her basic groundwork and loves attention and grooming. She is very sociable. This sweet pony is ready for a family to love her, and she will give 100% in return! Email wendy@allaboutequine.org for more info or to schedule an appointment to meet Zia.
