| All About Equine Animal Rescue, Inc. (AAE) is supported in large part by the generous donations of our horse-loving community. Without your selfless giving, we could not continue our successful rescue, rehabilitation, redevelopment, and rehoming programs. We will gladly accept any donation, but for those who prefer a specific purpose in giving or advertising your business, AAE has created several donor and sponsorship programs to give your dollars meaning. Select a program or work with an AAE volunteer to create one. If you prefer a certain horse to benefit from your donation/sponsorship, please specify.
We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (ID#27-0384523). Your donations qualify for Federal income tax deductions. Please verify with your tax professional. SPONSORSHIP PROGRAMS Our most important sponsorships are those that support our horses directly and enable us to keep them healthy and safe. The best way you can help is to adopt a horse, since our main goal is to find permanent, loving homes for all of our rescued horses. However, if you are unable to adopt a horse, you can still help a horse by sponsoring the costs for care it until a permanent home is found. Welcome A Horse ($750): Our Welcome A Horse program gives you the privilege of rescuing a horse from the feedlot. Although the “ransom” (or meat value) is typically donated by others, welcoming a horse to AAE and six months of basic care costs at the rescue until the horse is adopted. Basic care includes feeding twice a day, worming and hoof trimming every eight weeks, vaccines, dental care, and basic handling. This does not include veterinary care for any extraordinary injuries or illness that may be needed. As a sponsor, during the term of the sponsorship, you will receive the horse’s story, a picture of the horse when it arrives at the rescue, a monthly photo update, visits with the horse at the rescue (by appointment only), an adoption update when a permanent adopter is found. Although some horses may be adoptable immediately, the typical rehabilitation period is six to 12 months. As a monthly sponsor, you have first option to adopt a horse once rehabilitated, or to continue sponsorship for monthly care, after sixth months until adopted. Horse Care Program ($100/mo): Probably our most important sponsorship program is our monthly Horse Care Program. Sponsors allow us to continue our program and rescue more horses. Averaged over the course of a year, it costs the rescue approximately $100 per month for basic care for a horse. This includes feed/supplements, regular worming (every eight weeks), hoof trimming (every eight weeks), dental care, and vaccines. As a sponsor, during the initial month of the sponsorship, you will receive the horse’s story and a picture of the horse when it first arrived at the rescue, a current photo of the horse during the subsequent month(s) sponsored, visits with the horse at the rescue (by appointment only), and a first option to continue as sponsor for monthly care until adopted, and an adoption update when a permanent adopter is found. Horse Feed Program ($50/mo): Probably our most needed sponsorship program is our monthly Feed-A-Horse Program. Our feed costs are are biggest expense. As mentioned before, our sponsors allow us to rescue more horses, and we hope you’ll commit to sponsorship until your horse is adopted. Averaged over the course of a year, it costs the rescue at least $50 per month just to feed each horse. This includes hay and senior supplemental feed. This sponsorship will put a large dent in the feed costs for each horse, and we strive to secure a sponsor for each horse we accept into our program As a feed sponsor, during the month of the sponsorship, you will be recognized on the horse’s webpage as the sponsor of the horse , and you will be able to visit with the horse at the rescue (by appointment only). You will have first option to continue sponsorship of your sponsored horse until adopted, and you will receive an adoption update when a permanent adopter is found. Gift A Horse ($ Any): When you have a gift to give, give the gift of life. Make a donation (in any amount) on behalf of a horse-loving friend or family member. You will receive an electronic “gift letter” with a photo of an AAE horse, acknowledging your gift on behalf of your recipient. Remember A Horse ($ Any): To express your sympathy and to acknowledge the loss of a beloved equine friend, make a donation to the rescue in remembrance of the equine. DONATIONS and OTHER WAYS YOU CAN HELP Host A Fundraising Event: Host or organize a fundraising event. Donate Unused Tack and Horse Equipment/Supplies: AAE can always use donations of your unused tack, equipment, and/or supplies. We can use it here at the rescue or use it for fundraising by selling it at tack swaps. Donate Gently Used Items: AAE accepts donations of gently used items for resale on craigslist and ebay. Recycle with Us: AAE collects recyclable items such as aluminum cans, plastic, glass, auto/boat batteries, and/or computer components. Donate Jewelry/Coins: AAE works with a local jeweler and welcomes donations of jewelry and/or coins (gold, silver, platinum, and diamonds). Donation Boxes: If you own or operate a business, we have donation boxes that can be displayed for collection of donations by your customers/clientele.
