Trainer Notes: Very nice mare and well trained to ride! Neck reins, direct reins and has very smooth gaits. Loves the be groomed, easy to catch, saddle and bridle, moves off leg pressure and knows basic lateral work. Fillus has pretty movement, appears sound w/t/c, no obvious leg injuries from her race career. Great ground manners and very suitable as a lesson horse, trail horse and pretty enough for 4H shows. Will be ridden on trail once she has gained more weight, and we will then evaluate her for any jumping ability over small cross rails.

Health: Underweight, but good appetite and energy level, excellent coat condition, bright eyes, and nice hooves.  Is missing several teeth and will need to be on a senior pelleted feed diet.

Issues: This mare will weave if kept alone or in a stall or small enclosure. Does well in pasture with other horses, and in a 50 foot round pen adjacent to other horses.

Adoption Fee: TBD after weight gain, and further riding evaluation. May be available after 1/15/10.  Fillus received a full dental and health check on 1/12/10 and had teeth pulled and was put on a senior diet pelleted feed only.  She is also on antibiotics to treat an infection due to an old rectal-vaginal tear.  Current on vaccines, wormer, farrier & dental care.
