| Story: Star, she is a 30 year old bay mare. Her owner has had her for about 15 years. She is up to date on all vaccinations, and her feet have been trimmed, but she does need her teeth floated. She has a great personality, the owner of the boarding stable she’s at says she is great. She isn’t typically a dominate mare, but she dominated a five year old when in past, which was the only time she exhibited this behavior. She has been ridden western only by current owner, but she’s sure she would go english, too. She’s ridden in a myler twisted snaffle bit, and she does like to push through the bit at times. She loves to go on trails. When her owner had her at school, they had a schooling show for the FFA kids and Star was a little nervous about that, but she never offered to buck or anything. She does great for the farrier, she does toss her head when she is wormed, it just takes a little coaxing and she brings her head down. She works in the roundpen really good. Her ground manners are really good. She isn’t pushy, doesn’t bite or offer to kick. She is easy to saddle and bridle, she loves people, especially ones with carrots.
Last time she had her feet trimmed she was sore. Owner thought that it may be her hips from the farrier putting her hind legs up on the stand. She gets along with other horses, if in pasture she may stay away from the group, she just always has. Health: No known health issues.
Issues: None known.
