Story: Gem and Mom Ruby arrived from a Nevada feedlot on May 28, 2011. Gem defined “cute”, but he was a tiny little guy. Ruby was very thin, in poor condition, as her body was working hard to sustain her little man. He was otherwise in surprisingly decent condition. Ruby’s teeth were in poor condition, as clumps of partially chewed hay fell from her mouth. Gem is an adorable, refined, and athletic looking foal with super sweet personality. Trainer Notes: Gem was untouchable and very cautious when he arrived, but in time, his curiousity has overcome his fear, and he has befriended all of our volunteers. He has learned to accept a halter and lead. He’s a cute and handsome little guy and a quick learner. Health: Good. Issues: None known. Adoption Fee: $450.
