Story:  Koda is a strong, beautiful mare.  She was previously owned by a novice horse person that was unskilled in handling a confident young horse with an active mind.  When she came to her curent owner, she was undernourished and very ribby.  She was placed back in training and to date has had a minimum of 90 solid days training under saddle.  While under saddle with trainer, Koda opened more than 15 gates, crossed rivers, went over a variety of objects, and pushed cows.  Trainer says she was “bomb proof”, nothing she was exposed to spooked her.   He rode her in the mountains near Alturas, and says she is a very “solid” horse.  He rode her 30 miles through the mountains, loped and trotted at least a third of the way and she never broke a sweat!

She is approximately 14.3H, and it appears she’s still got some growing to do.  With continued training/riding, she should make a great partner, trail horse, and eventually, a family horse.  She is a solid endurance prospect!   I believe this mare can jump and would also make a great english horse, to.  She is a nice mover with an incredible stride!

She is still a little thin (narrow), but is rounding out nicely with proper nutrition, and becoming a beautiful looking quarter-type mare.

Koda is a very smart, intuitive mare, and she picks things up quickly.  She is learning her arena skills.

Koda has gone to her new home in the South Bay where she’s being pampered and enjoying her newly remodeled, plush stall.
