| Story: Missy is not a “rescue” in the traditional sense. She was relinquished/donated to the rescue after her family was unable to rehome her prior to relocation for military service. Trainer Notes: Missy appears to have a very solid training foundation. She was trained as a youngster, shown some, then she was used as a broodmare. She had not been ridden much prior to coming to AAE. Before the rainy weather, Missy was fostered by one of AAE’s volunteers, and she was ridden numerous times in the arena and on trail by several people. She was also used for a short while in a lesson program. She’s a sweet, personable mare that likes human interaction. She greets you at the gate, she’s has excellent ground manners, does well with hoof care, and she ties and trailers very well. She’s been handled by youth volunteers, and she has been very responsive and respectful with kids. With a little tune-up, we believe she would make a wonderful youth 4-H horse for showing or simply a fine trail/pleasure horse. She’s a fantastic little mare, and needs a forever loving home. We would love to see her go to a home with kids.Health: Good.
