Story: Lance is a 10 y/o Swedish Warmblood. Owner states he is approximately 100-150lbs underweight and needs conditioning and rehabilitation. Owner is unable to properly care for him at this time.
His dam is Queenie Pride, who is registered JC #8643673. Her grand sire is Secretariat.
Owner states that Lance’s flexion and suspension are limited due to a roach back. Owner feels Lance would be happiest in a low level lesson program, therapy program, or as a pleasure/trail riding horse. The roach is much less pronounced when he is at an appropriate weight and is in good conditioning. It does not seem to cause any discomfort or issues for him other than that previously mentioned. Lance has never had any soundness issues with current Owner. Lance came to from a hunter/jumper and dressage barn. Lance has limited experience in jumping, but current Owner has used him only on trails. His worming, hoof and vet care is clean and up to date. Lance is low man in the pecking order, and is not bossy or pushy. He is not spooky, but does form bonds and relationships very easily. If he’s not bonding with his owner, he will bond with his pasture buddies which makes leaving difficult sometimes. Owner uses a stud chain or rope halter while on the ground, and while he’s getting his feet done. Owner’s 9 year old walks him and has had her one year old on his back. He cross ties, clips, and loves water. This last summer Lance was trail riding by Folsom lake, and he loved playing and swimming in the lake. He loves the trails, and Owner thinks he prefers trails to arena work. He is barefoot and never had any problems with bruising on the rocky trails of Folsom Lake. Lance also trailers well, and does not dance around or do anything silly in the trailer.
He’s just the biggest sweetiepie, and has a personality to die for.
