Texas Jack
Sex: Gelding
DOB: 1996 (est)
Height: ~13.1
Color/Breed: Possibly Paso Fino or PFx
Adoption Fee: $550
AAE took in this handsome palomino in early November 2012 from a nearby county animal control department that needed to place some of the animals in its care. Due to the circumstances, little is known about him, although a recent dental on Tex indicated he is about 16 years old. He has very good ground manners and has carried a rider, but he seemed a bit rusty, or he may not have had significant training. Texas Jack is dominant in the herd and will chase/challenge new herd members. It does not appear he would be suitable as a companion or pasturemate to a senior or compromised horse. He will need an advance rider to continue his progress. More photos here or visit his FB album.

Lacy
Sex: Mare
DOB: 2007
Height: ~12.0
Breed: Welsh Cross Pony
Adoption Fee: $500
Lacy was obtained from a Reno auction by a backyard pony breeder. She gave birth to a cute buckskin colt, Sparky, a short time before coming to AAE in 2009. She has become a super sweet little mare, but has her “pony” moments. She can be standoffish until she gets to know you, but very sweet once she is comfortable. She was planned for our youth programs, but due to her tenancy to be a very easy keeper, and gain considerable weight, we are unable to keep her with general population. Lacy is ready for a job and someone who can further her training as a kid's pony or a cart horse. Come meet her today! More pics here or visit her Facebook album.
