ALL ABOUT EQUINE ANIMAL RESCUE, INC.

Sandra Yetta Fields

All About Equine’s future was forever changed by a single gift from Sandra Fields, Ph.D. Dr. Fields was one of AAE’s neighbors in El Dorado Hills where it all began. Dr. Fields was a Clinical Social Worker, with a private practice in Sacramento for about 30 years, helping clients through challenging times. She was a caring and devoted professional, enhancing so many lives by her healing counsel. Dr. Fields was born and raised in Denver, CO. She graduated from George Washington High School, and she attended Washington University in St. Louis and The University of Texas in Austin. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Social Work at The Ohio State University in Columbus. Her thesis addressed how a relationship with pets and animals affects people's blood pressure and health. This reflected Dr. Fields' lifelong love of animals.

Wanting to make a difference for horses and AAE, Dr. Fields bequeathed to AAE a most amazing gift, her beloved home When meeting Dr. Fields and learning about her gift, she mentioned how much she enjoyed the smell of horses, and she complimented the volunteers for their kindness when she stopped to look at the horses and enjoy the aromas. She knew AAE was looking for a home of its own, and she took action and made it happen. It was Dr. Fields' kindness and generosity that enabled AAE to acquire a home of its own, 61-acres in Pilot Hill, CA. What a gift! It changed the future for AAE, our volunteers, and most importantly, horses-in-need.

AAE's “Fields of Dreams” is a place where horses and humans can heal and flourish. Dr. Fields' legacy will live on in the hearts of everyone at AAE and the well-being of horses for years to come.
