All About Equine accepts any donation, but for those who prefer a specific purpose in giving or advertising your business, AAE has created several donor and sponsorship programs to give your dollars meaning. Select a program or work with an AAE volunteer to create one.
Sponsorship Programs
Our most important sponsorships are those that support our horses directly and enable us to keep them healthy and safe. The best way you can help is to adopt a horse, since our main goal is to find permanent, loving homes for all of our rescued horses. However, if you are unable to adopt a horse, you can still help a horse by sponsoring the costs for care it until a permanent home is found.
Welcome A Horse ($750): Our Welcome A Horse program gives you the privilege of rescuing a horse from the feedlot. Although the “ransom” (or meat value) is typically donated by others before the horse comes to AAE, this sponsorship welcomes a horse to the rescue and includes six months of basic care costs until the horse is adopted.
- As a Welcome A Horse sponsor, during the term of the sponsorship, you will receive the horse’s story, a picture of the horse when it arrives at the rescue, a monthly photo update, recognition on the website of sponsorship, visits with the horse at the rescue (by appointment), an adoption update when a permanent adopter is found. As a monthly sponsor, you have first option to adopt a horse once rehabilitated, or to continue sponsorship for monthly care, after sixth months until adopted.
Horse Care Program ($100/mo): Probably our most important sponsorship program is our monthly Horse Care Program. Sponsors allow us to continue our program and rescue more horses. Averaged over the course of a year, it costs the rescue approximately $100 per month for basic care for a horse.
- As a Horse Care sponsor, during the initial month of the sponsorship, you will receive the horse’s story and a picture of the horse when it first arrived at the rescue, a current photo of the horse during the subsequent month(s) sponsored, recognition on the website of sponsorship, visits with the horse at the rescue (by appointment), and a first option to continue as sponsor for monthly care until adopted, and an adoption update when a permanent adopter is found.
Horse Feed Program ($50/mo) or Partial Feed Program ($25/mo): Probably our most needed sponsorship program is our monthly Feed-A-Horse Program. Our feed costs are our biggest expense. Averaged over the course of a year, it costs the rescue at least $50 per month just to feed each horse, including hay and senior supplemental feed. This sponsorship will put a large dent in the feed costs for each horse, and we strive to secure a sponsor for each horse we accept into our program.
- As a Feed sponsor, during the month of the sponsorship, you will be recognized on the horse’s webpage as the sponsor of the horse and you will be able to visit with the horse at the rescue (by appointment). You will have first option to continue sponsorship of your sponsored horse until adopted, and you will receive an adoption update when a permanent adopter is found.
