Bogey's Story

Bogey and her three siblings were found at just about one-week old with their stray mom, Birdie, who was scavenging for food along the river next to a golf course behind the fifth hole. Mom was very thin, and all were covered in fleas.

During their time at AAE, the little family has received all the necessary care including vet exams, vaccines, flea removal, deworming and a healthy feeding schedule. With a healthy, well-fed mom, the puppies have been growing steadily and gaining weight as puppies should.

Bogey and her siblings have been spending lots of time with AAE volunteers to learn how to socialize with humans. Bogey is the biggest girl in the bunch, just slightly smaller than her brother, Cinco. She was the first to wag her tail, and loves greeting volunteers when they enter the room.

Bogey has received her first round of vaccines and is up to date with deworming. She will receive booster vaccines, a microchip, and spay procedure before being ready for adoption.
