Harley & Quinn's Story

This sweet, bonded pair of doodles has been through a lot — but you’d never guess it by their joyful, loving personalities. While scavenging on the side of the road, matted and severely underweight, they were spotted by members of the AAE team who rushed into action and brought them to safety at the barn.  Upon their arrival at AAE, they were quickly assessed and given the care they so desperately needed, which included a long overdue grooming (removal of 15 pounds of matted hair) and multiple trips to the vet. Quinn weighed in at 39 pounds, and Harley weighed in at 31 pounds.

They’ve since been treated for multiple foxtail tracts and ear infections, brought up to date on all vaccinations, tested for heartworm and started on heartworm meds, gained some necessary pounds, and their curly coats are growing!  They are now thriving and love to greet all of the volunteers as they arrive.

Full of affection and playful energy, Harley and Quinn would love nothing more than a family of their own. They LOVE a game of fetch followed by belly rubs and cuddle time. Their bond is strong, and they bring out the best in each other, which is why they must be adopted together. These are two very, very nice and well-behaved dogs.

If you’re looking for double the love, double the fun, and two incredible companions to share your heart and home, these special pups are ready to complete your family. They would play ball all day if they could, so an active home would be ideal.  They also love attention and are very affectionate in return.

If you think you're a good match for them and you're ready to meet them, please contact us, and a team member will be in touch.
