How To Help

All About Equine Animal Rescue (AAE) relies on the selfless giving of its donors to care for approximately 30 horses at any given time. The generosity of its donors allows AAE to continue our successful rescue, rehabilitation, and rehoming programs.  With the high cost of hay and feed, along with medical, dental and trimming expenses, AAE easily spends more than $5,000 per month just in basic care alone.

The horses that find refuge here were being abused or neglected, abandoned, or sent to auction/slaughter.  AAE’s very important work to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome these horses relies on our horse-loving community.  Please help us continue to care for these horses.

Your tax deductible donations, horse sponsorships, community grants, and volunteer efforts are greatly needed and appreciated. AAE offers several ways to help to meet your interests and capabilities.

Sponsor A Horse
Our Sponsor a Horse program is an automatic monthly donation program where funds are contributed to the cost for care of a specific horse until a permanent home is found.  These sponsorships enable us to continuously keep our horses healthy and safe.

See Sponsor A Horse for details and information.

Welcome A Horse
Our Welcome A Horse program is a one-time donation that gives you the privilege of rescuing a horse  from the feedlot when space becomes available.  Although the “ransom” (or meat value) is typically  donated by others before the horse comes to AAE, this sponsorship welcomes a horse to the rescue and includes six months of basic care costs (e.g. feed, hoof care, dental care, deworming, and vaccines) until the horse is adopted.

Become A Foster
Interested in fostering a horse? Review Foster a Horse and consider the option of fostering one our horses. Certain expenses for the cost of care of the rescue horse incurred on behalf of the foster are considered a donation and tax deductible (to the limit permitted by law).

Support Our Sponsors and Partners
Use the services of any of our service providers and sponsors to show your appreciation for their contributions to the work we do here at AAE.  See our Service Provider and Sponsors.
Dedicate A Name Plaque
Choose one of four options for a one-time donation to have your name placed on a plaque at our facility for a year as our appreciation for your generosity; or consider dedicating a plaque in honor of a loved one.

With your support, we can continue our rescue efforts. Your contribution means the difference between life and death, one horse at a time. AAE is a 100 percent volunteer-based, charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit equine rescue and rehabilitation organization.  Our tax ID number is 27-0384523. Please make checks payable to All About Equine Animal Rescue, Inc., and mail to 2201 Francisco Dr #140-174, El Dorado Hills, CA 95762.
