RESCUE, REHABILITATE, REHOME

All About Equine Animal Rescue, Inc. (AAE) has been rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses since 2009. Operations began on family property, and we always knew our efforts and success would one day exceed our original facility's capacity. What started as a small endeavor grew into a thriving, community-based organization that, to date, has served more than 360 horses (through 2022), of which more than 280 have been adopted, maintaining an overall adoption rate of more than 75 percent.

As All About Equine evolved, it became not just about helping horses, but also about helping humans. Our horses have participated in a variety of programs for Veteran's, at-risk youth, developmentally disabled youth and adults, foster children, and more. Program participants and many of our volunteers have experienced loss, depression, recovery from addiction, cancer treatment, family challenges, self-confidence issues, and similar life challenges. Horses help healing and recovery!

In 2017, All About Equine was blessed with a bittersweet gift from the estate of Sandra Fields. With this estate gift, we were able to invest in AAE's future by acquiring 61 acres in Pilot Hill. In collaboration with the El Dorado Community Foundation, All About Equine is undertaking our most significant fundraising endeavor to date, a capital campaign to support development of a new facility on this property. The current phase of our capital campaign is raising funds for our Healing Horses Barn.

Our goal is to develop a facility where All About Equine can grow roots and become not only a facility for rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming horses in need, but a venue to facilitate training and education, a center that brings the community together to focus on serving horses and humans.

All About Equine has strong financial management and is rated as a Platinum Level Nonprofit on GuideStar. A current IRS Form 990 financial statement is available upon request.
