AAE took in this beautiful, stocky girl in October 2013 after relinquishment by her owner due to a financial distress situation. We were told she was a seasoned riding horse.
Fancy is a very sweet mare. She enjoys grooming and attention, but can be pushy when food is involved. She has a sweet interest in little ones. Fancy seems to be a solid, willing riding horse with considerable experience under saddle. She has been ridden in the arena and around the property. She's been ridden bareback with a halter and lead rope. Fancy tested positive for Cushing’s. She gets a daily Pergolide tablet and takes it readily in a carrot “pocket”. She also has thin soles and will likely do best in shoes if used regularly for riding; however, boots may be a good alternative.
