Paisley
Height: 14 H (est.)
DOB: May 2014
Sex: Filly
Color/Breed: Red Dun/Mustang
Adoption Fee: $450
Paisley came to AAE in September 2014. She was one of the youngest of a group of five from Oregon that were part of a placement effort by the Warm Springs Horse Network. These horses are described as American Heritage Mustangs, “living symbols of the historic and pioneer spirit of the West”. She is a beautiful red dun with a prominent dorsal stripe and has a friendly, confident personality.
Being quite the looker, Paisley was adopted but recently returned when her owner decided that she didn't have the time to spend with her that she deserves. During that time, Paisley lived in a boarding facility. She was turned out with other mares during the day and brought in to a stall for feeding in the evening, and has lots of experience with daily handling by a variety of handlers.
In September/October of 2016 Paisley spent several weeks at the Monty Roberts International Learning Center (MRILC) as a project horse for students where she received additional handling, desensitization, and socialization, as well as groundwork practice, long-lining, and saddling (no rider). Paisley did very well and is ready to find a human of her own to continue her learning.
