PL was taken in from another rescue after her family took her to a nearby animal control agency because she had cancer in her eye. While at the shelter, she was attacked by dogs and had multiple punctures and lacerations. She endured lengthy treatment including multiple drains in various wounds. Once healed, her eye was removed due to the cancer, and she was adopted by loving family. Although PL is lost her left eye, she adapted very well, Unfortunately, her new family was unable to keep her as they were downsizing and moving from their property.
Like many minis and ponies, PL has foundered and her hooves will be evaluated to better understand her dietary needs and hoof care treatment moving forward. PL will be evaluated as a potential youth program horse.
