McGraw

Picture
Height:  Growing like a weed
DOB:  April 2014 (est)
Sex:  Gelding
Color/Breed:  Black/TBx
Adoption Fee:  TBD

McGraw came to AAE as a result of an animal control seizure.  This was a horrific case of neglect/abuse.  His mom (Tilly) and herdmates were starved; fortunately, mama provide him with some milk to sustain him, but the little milk she was producing was draining her large frame.  Like his mom, he was thin and bony, a pathetic representation of what should have been a healthy, robust young colt.  Still, he had the curiosity and cuteness of a baby chimp.  He had not been handled much, if at all, but humans brought food, so he quickly knew they were not all bad.  It wasn’t long, we discovered he couldn’t urinate like a normal lil’ guy.  His penis was unable to protrude from his sheath, and a flood of urine sprayed everywhere when he urinated.  He was treated for a persistent penile frenulum, and now his plumbing works fine.

McGraw is growing into a stunningly handsome guy.  He stands tall and proud, and he loves attention.  He is curious, social, and willing, and he will make someone an amazing partner one day.  In the meantime, he loves to play with his herdmates, and he has the energy of the Energizer bunny.  When one stops, he moves on to the next.  He is learning his basic groundwork, and he’s going to make a super fun project for an experienced person.
