ASPCA Awards $10,000 Expansion Grant to All About Equine Animal Rescue, Inc.

8/25/2016

El Dorado Hills, California.  All About Equine Animal Rescue Inc, (AAE) wants to thank the ASPCA for the generous grant of $10,000 to help us better serve our rescued equines.
The grant will be combined with matching funds raised by AAE from our generous donors to purchase and construct a covered round pen to allow for year-round activities with shelter from the sun or inclement weather.
AAE conducts several programs including a New Volunteer Orientation/Safety class, Pony Pals Farm Days, Horse Camps, and workshops for Veterans (Basic Horsemanship and Wild Horse Gentling).  With a covered round pen, AAE will be able to expand these programs and develop new programs.  Additionally, a covered round pen will further our mission of rehabilitating the rescued horses by allowing year-round horse gentling and training, increasing opportunities to make the horses more attractive for adoption.

2016 Help A Horse Day Winners are...

7/12/2016

All About Equine Awarded $10,000 Grant – 2nd year in a row!

El Dorado Hills, CA - The ASPCA announced the winners of 2016 Help a Horse Day celebration contest. All About Equine Animal Rescue, Inc. (AAE) was awarded a $10,000 grant to help with general operating expenses for the 2nd year in a row. This event was created as a way to provide a national day of recognition for equine organizations, to spread the word about the lifesaving work they do on behalf of at-risk horses and show their communities how to join in the effort.

“As the area continues to rebound from the economic downturn, the extreme need by neglected, abused and abandoned horses continues,” says Tarah Tingle, event coordinator and AAE volunteer. “Everyone here at All About Equine are so incredibly grateful to the ASPCA for the chance to be awarded these grant funds and for the second year in a row. These funds allow us to continue to help our horse community by rescuing neglected, abandoned and slaughter bound horses in need and providing them the care they so desperately need.”

To celebrate the ASPCA’s national Help a Horse Day, AAE hosted and participated in several community events and organized information booths at those locations. On Sunday, April 24th, AAE hosted a family-style open barn promoting Adoption, Awareness, and Education. They had demonstrations with local trainers, farrier, and bodyworkers; games and activities for kids; information booths including Loomis Basin Equine Medical Center, Sacramento Veterans Center, and other horse related guests as well as a BBQ and live music. On Monday, April 25th, they also had an all-day event at the El Dorado Saloon and Sauce’d with live music and good food.  Overall, the event included nearly 1,500 volunteers, visitors, and participants.
